Physicians Urology Names Chief Operating Officer

Physicians Urology, the largest fully integrated urology practice in Summit County, is pleased to announce that Peg Peebles has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Peebles comes to Physicians Urology with an extensive background, having worked with physicians in private practice for more than 27 years.

As COO, Peebles will oversee four offices and two satellites, including the Center for Urologic Health (CUH), Physicians Urology's prostate cancer treatment facility. She will work to develop uniform policies and procedures that will help to increase patient satisfaction. She will report to the company's president, Todd Breaux, M.D. and vice president, Greg Danesis, M.D.

"In her role as COO, Peg will work with our physicians to enhance effective business practices and streamline our operations," said Dr. Breaux. "Ultimately, we could be the best group of physicians in the world, but if our practice isn't run efficiently, we won't reach our business goals. That's where Peg comes in - she manages the logistics that make Physicians Urology run like a well-oiled machine."

"My top goals are to help structure Physicians Urology's processes and nurture professional business ties within the community. This will help to ensure the long-term viability of the organization," said Peebles. "And it will allow the business to expand and offer a greater variety of services to the community. I look forward to working with this outstanding group of doctors and watching this group thrive."

Peebles most recently served as the Practice Manager at Akron Pediatric Surgical Associates. She also worked with Pediatric and Adolescent Urology, Inc. as their Business Manager. She attended Ohio Northern University and is certified as a Medical Assistant and Lab Assistant. Peebles is also on the curriculum board for the medical practice management degree program at Akron University/Wayne College and has lectured extensively on insurance contracting and practice management issues.

"We have every confidence that Peg's efforts will greatly contribute to our goal of offering outstanding patient care," said Dr. Danesis. "My job is to treat patients. Peg not only allows me to devote more time to my patients, but she also helps me to do that more efficiently. This means our patients enjoy a positive service experience that is far too often missing in the medical community."
